EMPRESS PICTURES

"Rival A Piccomeß and Mascar, two adventurers, are members of a secret gang who prey upon Bociety. They each know Mr Stroon, who has a prettv daughter, Maud, with whom Picco naa falls in love, and determines to marry her. Mascar determines to save her from him, but Piccomaa determines to have her in spite of Maacar's threats. The eve of the wedding arrives, and in the midst of the rejoicings a mysteriius motor car arrives. The occupant disguised and masked, jumps out and forcibly abducts Maud, driving off before the bewildered company can intercept him A motor race takes place, but the one containing Maud is safely hidden in the house of silence. The whole abduction is a trick on behalf of Piccomaa to outwit Mascar, but very soon he is on the track He dons a clever disguise that bewilders his friends, and then commences an active pursuit of Maud, the various incidents providing abundant opportunities for the display of intrigue and daring adventure. Mascar obtains entry into the silent house, and eventually rescues Majd from Picco.nas' power and restores hsr to her parents.
