GUIDE'S BODY FOUND. NO TRACE OF THE OTHERS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PKBSS ASSOCIATION.] Timaru, Thursday. The body of Richmond, one of the guides lost on the Silberhorn, Mount Cook, on Sunday, has been found. There is no trace of Mr King (tourisi) or Thompson, the other guide. BODIES OF THE MISSINGNO CHANCE OF FINDING THEM. Christchurch, Thursday. The Hon. R. B. Rhodes has received the following message from Mr B. M. Wilson, who is now at the Hermitage: "Chief Guide Graham has just returned to the Hermitage. He found the body of Guide Richmond, but no sign of the others. The party had been overwhelmed by an avaalnche falling on to the Linda glacier from the top of the dividing ran~e north of Mt. Dampier. and sweeping the valley for about a mile. "Richmonds' watch stopped at 4.50, which was about the time the party expected to be in the vicinity. "Graham does not consider that there is any chance of finding th 6 bodies of King or Thomson." Later. Further advice received by Mr Rhodes state that Richmond's body was badly mutilated and barely recognisable. The search party was just abandoning the search when Graham saw the dead man's boot. The spot where the accident occurred has alwayH been looked on as quite safe.
