By Telegraph.—Press Association.— CfopyriKJii Washington, Tuesday. It is announced that President Wilson will veto the Burnett Immigration Bill unless the literacy test is eliminated in the Senate. The Immigration Committee had arranged a favourable report on the Bill, including the literacy test. Later, Mr Smith conferred with the president. It is understood President Wilson does not consider literacy any character test, and believes other means for barring undesirables ought to be devised.
