TE KUITI MUSICAL AND DRAMATIC SOCIETY.
A well attended meeting of thosn interested in the formation of a Musical Society was held on Monday evening, February 16th. Mr Elliott presided, and after a good deal of discussion it was decided to form a society known as "The fe Kuiti Mußical and Dramatic Society." A vast amount of detailed business in connection with the Society was transacted* and now that the Society is established it should be a great acquisition to the town and worthy of the support and sympathy of the public. The membership fee was fixed at 6s for gentlemen and 3a for laides and judging from the enrolment of members already the membership is likely to be a large one. Intending members 3hojld enrol as early as possible. Another general meeting is called for Tuesday, March 3rd, and all interested are cordially invited to be present.
