Extraordinary epidemics of fever, pneumonia, cerebro spinal meningitis prevail Eight hundred are in the hospitals at Toulon, and five hundred at Nancy. Many other garrisons are affected and numerous deaths are reported- The epidemic is due to the overcrowding of a hundred and eighty-five thousand extra recruits and delay in constructing new a barrack.
