A special court at Sunthrampur sentenced Govindgar, a self-styled "Prophet of Death," for waging war again t the King, and Pimja, his chief associate, to transportation for life; and twenty-eight followers to three year's. Govindgar attracted an enormous following, and defied the authorities persuading his disciplines he had power to make them invulnerable against the soldiers' guns.
