WELLINGTON RIFLE MEETING.

OHURA MEN IN FORM. Messrs C. William?, S. S>ffe and W. K, Williams, of the Ohura Rifle Club, attended the Wellington Rifle Association's annual meeting at Trentham last month. The first day, the opening match at 800 yarJß was won by W. K. Williams with a Bcore of 48. C. Williams got Bth place at 500 with a score of 48. Two extra matches were fired this day, one at the 900 yards which W. K. Williams tied for second place, and winning the one at the 100 yards, C. Williams coming second. The Becond day the Ohura Club again came to the front; W. K. Wil'iams securing fourth place at the 800 yard with a score of 48; at the 900 Soffe put on the good score of 46, taking Bth place, and C. Williams put on 40, taking 20th place. At the 1000 yards C. Williams put on the fine score of 46, winning this match. This score also tied him with another for second place in the Championship and long range aggregate. In the shoot off, he won both ties, thus winning the long range aggregate and coming second in the Championship; Sergt. Burnand of Oamaru taking first place, and W. K. Williamß finishing Bth. L. Loveday, ex-champion, finished 9th, and J. James, the present champion, in 11th place.
