Surgeons describe an operation that has juat been perfomed at St. Bartholomew's on a man named Anderson, an. Australian miner, .as one of the most astounding character. The Daily Mail says Anderson was admitted to the hospital as the result of an explosion. A stone an inch in diameter entered the orbit of his eye, lacerated the brain, and became embedded in the skull. An operation was performed, and this proved successful. Anderson is now practically blind in one eye, but otherwise he is well, and is returning to Australia.
