The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report: — At Te Awamutu on Saturday last we yarded 10-13 head of cattle, and a large number of buyers being present, we bad a most successful sale, all classes except fifteen month heiters being eagerly competed for. In all, 108 head of beef were sold. Prices: Fat steers £9 5s to £lO 10s, fat cows £7 7a 6d to £9, lighter weights £6 Gs to £6 18s, kilable cows £5 lis to £6, fat heifers £5 12s 6d to £G 2s Gd, empty cows £4 to £4 17s 6d according to condition, three year steers in forward condition £7 7s 6d to £7 16s, two to two and a half year steers £4 15s to £5 ss, twenty month to two year steers £4 Is to £4 10s, fifteen month steers £3 10s to £3 12s. yearling steers £2 15s to £3 2s 6d. fifteen month heifers good duality £3 5s to £3 Ss, yearling heifers £2 5s Od to £2 10s, weaner calves 22s Gd to 30s, dairy cows £6 10s to £6 15s, shorn ewes 14s Gd, weaner pigs 12s to 20s, slips and porkers 23a to 355.
