A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
The Management Committee of the King Country Central A and P, Association met in the Chronicle office on Wednesday afternoon last. There wera present —Messrs Somervill?, president, Gadsby, Graham, C. Matthew, J. Hardy, and C. Stevens. On the motion of Mr Somervilla a vote of thanks was accorded to Messrs B. Myers and T. Gill for their kindness in presenting a cup for the best lady rider (farmers' daughter).. and also for their donation oc £2 2s for the best general purpose cow ; also to Mr Lux ford for his prize of £1 Is for the best dairy cow. The following new members were elected:—Messrs W. -J. Black. 11. Taylor and W. Taylor, The following judges were appointed:—Draught horses, Mr Thos Holt, Pakiri: dairy cattle and_rn'gs, Mr Luxford; Shorthorns, Mr Vv. J. Anderson, Tirau; sheep, Messrs R. Bremmer and Walsb. The head stewards were appointed aa follows:—Harness horses, Comer Board; draught horses, G. Berry; dairy cattle, C. Bailey; pigs, G. Gray; cattle, A. Cameron; competitions, H. Voyce; general supervisor, A. E. Shannon.
