SEAMEN AND STRIKE.
AGREEMENT ARRIVED AT. pIY TlCUCtillAl'H. —I'KKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, This Day. A largely attended meeting of seamen yesterday decided by 580 votes to 20 to return to work under the terms of agreement arrived at between the shipowners and the seamen's representatives. Official notice to that effect was posted outside the office and the assemblage cheered when the notice was put up. It is reported that at a meeting of striking watersidera Mr Young stated that funds were getting bo low that they could not hold out much hope of winning. Nevertheless, he was of the opinion the struggle Bhould be continued.
