THE MAYFIELD MURDER.
BIDDLE TO BE HANGED. I Lyttelton, Thursday. It is understood that Alfred M. Biddlc, convicted of the murder of Mra Lilley, at Mayfield, will be hanged. The gallows was tatan to Lyttelton yesterday, and have now been erected. The Hervicrs of u hangman hava been secured, but the sheriff has not yet received the papera authorising him to proceed with the execution. Christchurch, Friday. Biddln will be executed at Lyttelton Gaol at 8 o'clock on Monday morning.
