Copies of amendments to various Rill?, and other Parliamentary mailer were received with thanks from the lien. W. H. Herries and Mr Young. M.P. It was proposed by Messrs Swainson and that the secretary write to the chairman o r the Maniapoto Land Board asking if, with, t'ne courtesy of his hoard, it would be possible to procure land in block :.'! b No. 2 near the waterfall at; Maihiihi, for the purpose of laying out a township, for which representations have already been made to the Minister of Lands. In replv to a letter from the Public Works office the secretary was instructed to write stating the matter of charges in connection with, the road work done at Man.caoronca rests with the parties who did tho work. and the road engineer in charge. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Young, M.P., thankin.u' him for his courtesy in looking atfer the interests of this district. The secretary was requested 'o write to the secretary of the Auckland Education Board asking the board to continue negotiations for the five acres of land as a school site at Maihiihi.

On the motion of Messrs? iugharn and Lurnman that this branch place on record its hi.uh appreciation of the services rendered by "those members who went, to Auckland to assist in the prosent strike trouble.
