The deoartment's engineer, Mr Baird, had inspected and reported that immediate steps should be taken by the Borough to remedy the position which was contrary to the agreement concerning the installation The Mayor said a report should have been received and placed before the meeting from Mr Crookes, consulting engineer, concerning the matter but nothing had come to hand. He understood Mr Crookes had made a tour of inspection and had various recommendations to make. Mr Bartley, electrical engineer, said he hsd accompanied Mr Crookes upon his inspection, and there were a number of places noted as being too low.
