STOREMEN CONTINUE WORK. SEAMEN'S STRIKE ENDORSED. Wellington. This Day. At a special meeting of the Wholesale Storemen'a Union it wbb decided not to respond to the call of the Federation of Labour. About a hundred owners of one-horse expresses met and decided not to do work that the union drivers had been withdrawn from. A conference of delegates of the Federated Seamen's Union endorsed the strike of members. The conference was attended by delegates from Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin and Gisborne. The local Waterside Union doeß not agree to the new Wellington Union being allowed to affiliate with the Waterßiders' Federation as invited to do by the executive. The strikers having been turned out of the Harbour Board Bhed, where they used to meet obtained the ÜBe of the Old Theatre Royal now shut up. The Crown, however, has just acquired the lease, so their tenure was shortlived. After holding one meeting they found they would have to look elsewhere, and obtained the use of the King's Picture Theare.
