Own Correspondent. A mee ting of the Pio Fio Medical Association was held in the Town Hall en Saturday last, November Ist. The minutes were read and adopted, and the chairman, Mr J. Wall, stated that their chief business was the confirmation of the sot of rules drawn up by the committee, in accordance with ' the Co-operative Societys Act. He 1 proceeded to give a brief synopsis of ' the work perfcimed by the cumrnilte 1 eincti the last meeting. They had " asked th? doctor to remove from the ' mar.ss to room 3 procured for him in the township, and all private telephone } lines were now connected with these 3 rooms and woaid be transferred to the j doctors nu.7 residence when completr ed. The committee had appointed a -i new secretary, Mr G. Brown*.-wli'o had given every'satisfaction. "They had elected a deputation consisting of Messrs Boday, Burrows, and Wall, to I approach the Waikato Hospital Board a to endpavour to induce them to lescind the latter'a previous resolution i- to purchase the tnanse site. The chairman had pleasure in announcing that their efforts hd been and a that the board had decided to purchase a site of three quarters of an acre in close proximity "o the township for ® the sum of JBIIO, and had entrusted n the supervision of building the resi>r dence to Mr M. J. Jones, of To Kuiti, 0 who, he was glad to say, was here tca day to confer with the members of the 3- committee.' (Appluse.)
