LAWN TENNIS.
<> The committee of the Te Kuiti Lawn Tennis Club met in the Chronicle office last evening, Mr Foy, president, occupied the chair. Specifications, kindly supplied by Mr Dix, were considered, and it was decided to adopt same as they were deemed to be eminently satisfactory. It was decided to let the contract for tbwith for laying down one asphalt court, the same to be ready for playnn December. It was resolved that tapes be obtained for the third court. The following ground ,committee was appointed: —Messrs Webber. Robinson, Matthews and the secretary. It was decided that the courts bo put in order and that the official opening be held on Saturday, November Bth, at 2.30 p.m., whs all those interested are invited to bo present. Resolved tsat a Working bee be held on the courts on Thursday ing at 6.30 o'clock, when all rested members are asked to attend. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Dix fo* his kindness in preparing specifications for the new COUrt.
