ROTORUA'S BALANCE-SHEET.

Particulars of the revenue and expenditure at Rotorua during last year were presented to Parliament on Wednesday. Tr.e receipts amounted to £15,976, and the expenseß totalled £19,145. The principal items relate to the Sanatorium and baths, in connection with which salaries and maintenance totalled £10,389. The total revenue (including £1999 from Sanatorium patients' feeß, £473 outpatients' fees, £2732 bath tickets, and £704 for massage and electircal treatment) was £6229. A profit of £SOO is shown on the electric lighting, while the water supply and sewage scheme paid its way for salaries and maintenance. The Waimangu round trip was exceedingly profitable to the Department, the expenses being £lO9l, and the fares, launch hire, and other receipts £3056. The statement does not include the particulars of expenditure made from the Pablic Works Fund.
