NEW ZEALAND BUTTER.
TREATMENT IN VANCOUVER. STARTLING STATEMENTS. [BY TELEUBAI'H. —I'RKSS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, This Day. At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce attention was called to the statement in a Vancouver paper that New Zealand butter was treated there by machinery until it was made to hold up to 2S pei" cent, of water. It was stated the output of one firm of adulterated or water-loaded butter was 1200 to 1 500 pounds per day. The chamber decided to forward the correspondence on the subject to the Minister of Agriculture.
