♦.»♦ RAILWAY CLUB FORMED
A meeting was held on Saturday last in the railway enigne shed for the purpose of forming a local Railway Cricket Club. A large number attended, and judging by the enthusism shown by members the new club has a very promising season in viewAfter some discussion subscriptions for tb n current season were fixed at ss. It was also decided to open the season immediately on arrival of material which is now on order. The following officers were elected : —President. Mr F. Langstooe; vicepresidents, Messrs B. C. Gifford, J. Lee, Darrow, Walsh. Dr Mcßae, A. Micholl, P. Cotter, N. Cole, H. Ellison, H. Connell, H. Boles; captain, Mr T. Sherlock; vice-captain, Mr S. Deery; auditors, Messrs O'Connell and Henderson; committee, Messrs Barne?, O'Connell, Reardon, Bremen, Delaney, Crean, Cain and Smith.
A hearty vote of thanks to the chairman (M? T. Sherlock) brought a most successful meeting to a close.
