MANGAORONGA BRANCH. Own Correspondent. A meeting of the above branch was held in the schoolhouse on the Bth inst. Mr Sircombe occupied the chair. The attendance was small owing to the inclement weather. Mr Abercrombie was elected a member of the Union. The secretary was instructed to interview Mr Worthington, of the Public Works Department, concerning the removal of a Blip on the Rangiatea road, also to write to Mr Wilson, Government purveyor, asking if he could give any information as to progress made with regard to the opening up of the Crown section 63a comprising :'.?.-- acres adjoining Mr Scott's. It was decided to forward a letter to the secretary of the Auckland Board of Education mentioning the fact that the subject of reconstruction of the ?\langaoronga school vvuold coma up for discussion at the next meeting of the Union, when the Tnion would be in the position to advise the Hoard as to the inert boneueia! arrangement for both settlements.
