On August 30th a meeting was held at Mr F, Templeman's residence, the subject for discussion being the Marokop'a wharf and shed and Kiritehsre school. Mr F. Templeman was in the chair.
Mr J. Patterson moved that the Minister of Marine be asked to have the erection of the Marokopa wharf and shed on a site below the school house, put in hand, so that they will be ready for the forthcoming wool season. Seconded by Mr L. Klein and carried.
Kiritehere School, Reserve section ,3a, block 2, 13 acres, road and river frontage.—Mr J. Wouldes moved and Mr L.Klein seconded, that the present school ground bo set aside as a permanent site for a school.—Carried. Messrs J. Wouldes and J. Kinnane moved that a committee consisting of Messrs L. Klein, H. Petherick, J. Saringhausen, P. Saunders and F. Templeman be appointed, with power to add to the number, the committee to take the necessary steps to have a school erected on the site chosen in Kir itehere. Carried.
