FAT STOCK SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency reports:— At the Westiield yards on Wednesday beef was yarded in full numbers and mostly first-class quality. Competition was keen, and sales were made at imnroved ratea. Best quality sold to 33s 6d, others 30s to 32s cows and heifers 27s 6d tc 30s, steer-i from £7 12s 6d to £l6 2s 6d. cows and heifers £5 to £lO 12s (id. A drat 1 ; of 16 steers from Messrs R. and W. Gollan averaged £l4 13s (3d. Veal calves were penned in larger numbers than usual, and sold at fully late ratea. No heavy weights were yarJed. Medium weights made £2 15s ti £3 15s, others £2 to £2 12s (id, small 20s to 3Ss, fresh dropped 3s to 15s. Sheep were yarded in full numbers and sold at fully la3t week's rates. Best wethers made 29s 6d to 33s 9d, other? 20s to 28s 3d, heavy ewes 22s fid to 25s 3d, others ISs 6d to 21s 9d, hoggets, best, 20s 9d. to 303. Pigs came forward in short supply, and sold at advanced rates. Baconers made last week's rates, porkers £2 5s to £2 17s, slips 25s to 30s, weaners 15s to 30s each. Messrs Abraham and Williams. Ltd., I report on their Jobnsor ville sale 33 foPows:—A good entry of bullocks and sheep came forward. Medium quality bullocks realised £ll 12a (id to £l2 ss, lighter £ll 5s to £ll 10s, cows £5 12s 6d to £(5, heifers £5 10s. venlers heavy 80s 395, light 29s to 3Ss. prime heavy wethers 80s to 325, prime wethers ewes 255. The first of the new season's lambs came forward and realiaed good competition at from 17s' to 19sl
