OHURA.

Own Correspondent,

An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in the Ohura Co-op. Dairy Company, Ltd., was held at Nino Niho on August 29tn for the purpose of considering the advisability of closing down tlie factory. For some little time trouble had been brewing owing to other companies effreing higher prices for butter fat than had been paid by this company. the upshot being a refusal to pass the balance-sheet at the annual meeting on August 9th, and a vote of no-con-fidence in the newly-appointed directorate. Strange to say the no-confi-dence motion was proposed snd seconded by two of the new directors, who had no trouble in finding a majority of the same mind. The meeting on August 29tn decided by a large majority to go into voluntary liquidation.
