PIO PIO.
Own Correspondent,
The directors of our butter factory have every reason to congratulate themselves upon their pluck and pushfulness by the result of the boring operations which have been going on here for the last five weeks. Since the butter factory first started the water supply has been a matter for grave consideration as the quality and quantity are so essential to first-class butter making. Upon the assurance of water Deing handy, located by a water diviner, the company decided to try their luck in spite of the scepticism with which -o many people regard the power of divining writer, with the result that the firm of Sutcliffe and Mounee, of Auckland, were engaged under the Management of MiHarris to proceed with boring, and in spite of yards of solid limestone and unfavourable weather. Mi Harris has brought the work to a successful issue. I am sure the firm have every reasun to rejoice at the result, as an almost inexhaustible supply of water is now at the disposal of the factory manager.
