FOOTBALL.
VETERANS v. RAILWAY. The football match on Sturday ntxt between the veterans and the railway team is creating a considerable amount of interest and a good game is anticipated. Both teams are training assiduously and the players should strip in fine condition to see out a fast game. The veterans' team has not been finally chosen. The candidates for inclusion are requested to turn out ' for practice thiß afternoon and tomorrow on the Domain in order to put the finishing touches on their training operations. The'raf iway team will be as follows —Backs- Sherlock, Smith, Crean, Henderson, Rowlands, Barnes; forwards Delaney (cspt), Nicholaon, Brennan, Jephßon. Collie, Piper, McLeod, Moodic, and Poole.
