AMUSEMENTS.
EMPRESS PICTURES. "The Forger," Pathe coloured drama.—Darville, an elderly man is engaged to Jeanne, the daughter of Mr Richard, a wealthy man. Darville becomes short of money and takea on cards. He is utterly ruined and borrows from a money lender on conditions that he shall pay back twice the amount on his marriage. Mr Richard takes ill and Darville forge 3 one of his cheques. It is soon discovered, and the bank cashier is seen on Darville's track. He is chased in a motor car and manages to get into an empty flat where he shoots him?elf. The pursuers enter to find the prostrate body of the wretched man. Jeanne sobs, yet feels a certain amount of disgust for her weak-minded lover.
