EMPRESS PICTURES. The fact that Charles Reade, the author, gave many months to a personal inspection of the prisons'of England, was sufficient reason for this book to attract the attention of 'all classes and gain for his views the support of all clear thinking people of the day. From the title to the closing scene of the second reel there is not one in&tant that the spectator will allow his attention to be diverted from the screen, so closely have the Edison Co. wove this masterful'story in a photo-play.
