PRESBYTERIAN LADIES' GUILD.

- —— The newly organised Ladies' Guild in connection with the local Presbyterian Church will hold its first meeting for work this afteroon in the vestrv. Mrs D. J. Young, the president, will provide the first "tea,'' and a good attendance is anticipated. Over forty members are on the roll of the Guild, and when the canvas is complete it is expected to add many more. The Guild will meet fortnightly ir> the future. The ladies also propose holding a series of "gift at homes" to further the work of the Guild and augment the fund of the managers of the church.
