SPREADING IN AUCKLAND. GENERAL VACCINATION URGED. jfhe cases of small pox or chicken pox reported in the King Country have afforded no fresh developments up to the present, and no additional cases have been reported. Vaccination is proceeding steadily, and several of the Europeans who have been operated upon at Te Kuiti are feeling the effects rather severely. At Auckland three additional cases of Europeans suffering from the disease have been reported, but the outbreak in the country districts is not spreading greatly. , A CASE AT WELLINGTON. [BY TKIJiWHAriT. —I'RKSS ASSOCIATIONS ] Wellington, This Day. A case of small pox is reported at the Wellington Hospital. The patient is a European woman who arrived at Wellington a few days ago from Kawakawa, Bay of Islands. She was admitted to the hospital late on Thursday and as soon as it was suspected she was suffering from small pox steps were taken to vaccinate and quarantine all contacts. The case is a mild one. Among the contacts there is reported to be a member of Parliament, who has also been quarantined. , Auckland, This Day. An official bulletin issued states there nre now thirty cases under treatment at Auckland Hospital three being Europeans. It has been found necessary to increase the hospital accommodation. A single case has been reported from Te Teko, Morinsville, and Tirau. Altogether there are 23 cases in Auckland. Besides those in Auckland ghospital three Europeans are isolated at Kawakawa, and there are some doubtful cases at Kaihu. The Public Health Department urges eveybody to be vaccinated.
