TE RAUAMOA.

Own Correspondent. A meeting of the Hall Company was held on June 27th. There present—Messrs E. E. Le Prow (chairman), Randall, .Douglas. Honore. and Hogarth. It was resolved to hold a grand promenade concert on the night of Friday, July 18th, and that the two members of .Parliament who represent Te Rauamoa districtMessrs Young and Wilson—be invited to attend. School is closed for an extra two weeks to allow the teacher to attend physical education classes under Mr Royd Garlick, at Hamilton. Mr W. J. Hoffman's farm here is, we believe, a record crop of swedes. An estimate, which we trust is accurate, places the weight of the crop at 66.9 tons per acre. The land, eight acres in area, was ploughed early in the spring, and the crop drilled in about Christmas time. Mr S. Ormsby, who has secured the crop, is fattening a mob of sheep and cattle. The crop-is beside the main coach road, and presents an interesting sight to farmers.
