KIRITEHERE-MOEATOA.

A meeting of settlers interested in the advancement of the district took place on the 7th. A scheme, th» object of which was the metalling of tha Marakopa-Kirtehere road as far as the junction, and about two miles of the Mangakokopu, was discussed. It was decided to apply for a £ for £ subsidy on the thirds and raise £6OOO for metalling. Gr Pattreson is in the meantime collecting the necessary information relative to the legal and business preliminaries.
