OPEN LETTER TO THE RESIDENTS OF HANGATIKI AND ELSEWHERE.

Dear Friends,—We are having an entertainment in our schoolroom on Thursday, 19th inst. Our teacher is getting it up to provide us with material* for our school games, and we hope —indeed, we know that as he is doing what he can for us, you, our parents, and our friends will also do what you can to make the entertain ment a success. The lecture is entitled "Round the World with a Camera." It will be illustrated by limelight views, which, as in the last lecture, will be of the brightest and clearest description and absolutely without flicker. Many of the slides are from photographs taken by the teacher, and many local views of an interesting nature will be shown. We will give you a few part songs to enliven the proceeding, and we will have a good fire in the stove that you may be comfortable. Now, please, do not fail us. Visitors from outside will be made very welcome. The train arrangements between here and Otorohanga are very suitable. The charge is a shilling; children threepence. Yours hopefully, THE HANGATKI SCHOOL CHILDREN.
