FOOTBALL.

MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the Manjapoto Rugby Union was held at the Chronicle office on Thursday evening. The Rotorua Union wrote suggesting the visit of the Maniapoto representatives should be fixed for June 28tb After consideration it was decided to reply stating the date proposed was unsuitable, and suggesting July 12th for the match. It was decided to commnce the second round of the cup fixtures on June 21st. Mr E. Carroll was registered tor the Otorohanga Club. A number ot ap plications for reinstatement were received from Northem Union players, and the same were considered in committee. ■ Reports from the referees in last Saturday's matches were received.
