PRESSURE ON SENATORS. TO PREVENT BILL PASSING. By Tele&raph.—Press Association.—Copyright Received June 6th at 11.30 p.m. Washington, Friday. The Senate Investigating Committee is informed of persistent lobbying against the Wool and Sugar Bills. Senators have specified instances where improper pressure has been brought to bear to prevent them voting with the Democrats in favour of free wooi. It is stated detectives frequently shadowed Senators with a view to discovering anything useable against them.
