♦" FATHER SHOT BY DAUGHTER. ACQUITTED OP MURDER. By Telegraph. —Press Association. —CoDyrt&DJ Received June 6th at 8.30 p.m. Sydney. Friday. Kate Siely, aged 14, has been acquitted on a charge of murdering her father at Shell Harbour, as cabled on March 6th. The evidence disclosed a pathetic story of years of drunken illtreatment of the wife and family. The gun wherewith the fatal wound was inflicted went off while the girl was stfuggling to get it from her father after threats to shoot the whole family.
