A RUNAWAY WAGGON.
MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. [I)Y TELKttBAPH. —I'RESS ASSOCIATION'.] Auckland, This Day. Two horses in a four-wheeled waggon, made a sensational runaway yesterday in Eden Terrace, the driver running behind hanging on to the reins, unable to control the animals. An employee of the Eden Terrace Road Board, named Smith, atempted to seize the animals by he head. He fell under the wheels, and was dragged fitfy yards, the front wheels passing right over him. Smith sustained terrible internal injuries, and his condition is critical. He is a married man with two children. The horses were eventually stopped without further harm.
