SLAUGHTERMEN'S TROUBLE.
UNREST SPREADING
At a mass mealing of all the unions concerned in the Parcora slaughtermen's trouble, a resolution was passed: "That this meeting is entirely in accord with the action taken by the butcher 3 and assistant? at the Smithfield freezing; works, and urges them to stand firm and call upon all unions to assist them, making this fight theirs also, and affirming that injury to one will be injury to all workers."
It was reported that nine of the free labourers have joined the union sinco Friday. A subscription was taken up in the rain in aid of Webb's fine, and more than double the amount wa3 subscribed which will be forwarded to Christchurch.
