FOOTBALL.

SOCCER. The annual general meeting of the Te Kuiti Association Football Club was held in the Chronicle office on ' Thursday evening last, when a good '' number of the "real football" enthusiasts gathered. Mr W. Cowan occupied the chair. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr J. Kirkwood; vicepresidenta, Messrs R. Somerville, N. C. Matthew and D. J. Young; general committee, Messrs Cowan, Arthur, Gouth, Edwards, Rundell, and Kirk wood; selection committee, Messrs Kirkwood, Cowan and Edwards; secretary, Mr R. Adams. Mr J. Kirkwood presented a trophy, valued at a guinea, to the best allround player of the coming season. Several other members donated gear to the club. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to tho donors, and also to Mr Somervlile for granting the use of his paddock.

With bo much enthusiasm an interesting season should be looked forward to.
