TADIES AND GENTLEMEN,—I -Li have much pleasure in intimating that lam a candidate for your suffrages for further term at the forthcoming electiun of councillors for the Te Kuiti Borough Council, and in support of my candidature I pledge my self if elected, to advocate and support the following reforms: 1. The introduction of a more economical administration of the Borough affairs in expenditure and working methods, provided that at the same time there is no sacrifice of efficiency. 2. The introduction of a better and more businesslike system in the carrying out and completion of work undertaken, particularly in the completion of metalling work wherever possible before another is started. In connec tion with this work several different streets have been undertaken in various parts since November last year, all of which more or less in an unfinished state. With the close approach of the wet season at hand, thera is great danger that much of the good results of such work will be lost; whereby the Borough will be put to considerable expense, either in remaking portions or in additional excessive maintenance charges.
3. The provision of a regular supply of maintenance metal; together with a cart and team owned by the Borough for the purposes of • distribution of same and other general purposes whereby'much expense and delay may be saved. 4. That tenders be called for the forming and metalling of all streets, and other works as far as possible., believing that under the contract system such works would be more ex peditiously and economically done, than under the present day system. Yours truly, J, F. LEVER.
