Own Correspondent. The annual sports gathering held here on Saturday last was a complete success. The day was beautifully fine, and, chiefly owing to the strenuous efforts of the officials concerned, everything went off smoothly and well up to time. Well over 150 nominations were received for the different events, and the sum of £lO 13s was taken at the gate, so the finances of the club are in an eminently satisfactory condition. ■ After paying out £6O in prize monay, and all incidental expenses, it will be possible to carry on a small, but useful, credit balance to next season.
