On the evening of April Ist, Messrs Bros, celebrated the opening of new house by giving a bachelor which was attended by nearly all the male residents of the district. Visitors were present from as far av ?ay as Te Kuiti, and one jovial member of the Borough Council (who hv the way insisted that he had merely bee-n touring round the district and Sad arrived at the scene of festivity " ite by accident) proved to be the Sfe, of the party, and bad charge of the toast list.
