The Pride of Te Kuiti Lodge, held its usual fortnightly meeting in the Congregational Church last evening, when there was a large attendance! Two new members were duly initiated to the and the general routine business of the lodge transacted. After lodge closed all present participated in supper provided in the anteroom, the occasion being the lodge's farewell to Bio. the Rov. Goanell. After supper had been partaken of several brothers spoke in eulogistic terms to the many good qualities possessed by their departing brother and referred to the keen interest Bro. Gobnell had always taken in the progress and welfare of the lodge. In any forward movement the lodge had always received his hearty support. At the conclusion of the speeches Bro. Gosnell's health was drunk amid the singing of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow." In responding Bro. GosnuJl said he had always enjoyed lodge meetings, and they had aw lays bo conducted in the spirit of true brotherhood, nnd in harmonious unity. Ono thing which had impressed him greatly wan the very hearty response the lodge gave to any call upon its benevolence, and he congratulated the Order on such a principle. He said that ho would * always have very pleasant recollections of the many enjoyable evenings spent in the lodge, and concluded bv proposing the health and succobb of the Pride of To Kuiti Lodge. Several songs and recitations were rendered during the evening, and a verv pleasant, function brought to a close at a late hour by u, e .singing of Auld Lang Syne."
