PROPOSED MINISTERIAL TOUR.

MR MASSEY TO VISIT OHURA. POSSIBLE WAITEWHENA TRIP. A considerable time ago it was announced that the Hon. W. F. Massey, Prime Minister, would visit the King Country, the objective of the tour being the Obura district;. An endeavour was made to induce Mr Massey to visit the Ohura at Show time, but the claims of office were too ureent, and it was found impossible for tho Prime Minister to afford the time at that period. Mr C. K. Wilson, member for the district has been endeavouring to get Mr Massey to fix a definite date for commencing his tour of the district, and the time has now been definitely arranged. Mr Wilson telegraphs to tho effect that tho Prime Minister will probably leave Okahukara on Wednesday next. If the weather is favourable there is every probability that the Ministerial party will extend the tour through tho hinterland of Te Kuiti, coming through tho Waitewhena. The Waitewhena road is now open for vehicular traffic, though it is still somewhat narrow in places. However, if fine weather prevails the through-trip would he highly enjoyable, and the experience would convey an excellent idea of a considerable portion of the back country and the manner in which it is roaded.
