TE KUITI DEBATING SOCIETY.

The Te Kuiti Debating Society which was established about a year ago had. a highly successful Bession, and provided both education and entertainment for a considerable section of the community during the winter. As is usual with societies of the kind the meetings were discontinued throughout the summer months. Winter js now approaching and the annual general meeting of the society is called for Wednesday evening, April 23rd. The business of the meeting will be to receive the report and balance-sheet, and to elect officers for the ensuing season. The programme for the session will also be discussed and a committee appointed to arrange a syllabus. A large gathering of members is anticipated.
