A FARMER'S CLAIM

Mr E. Rawson, S.M., haard a claim in the Hamilton Court on Monday by a man named Wille, of Ohura, for £l3 against the Farmers' Auctioneering Co., as damages for alleged sale of his sheep at a price under the reserve fixed by him. The company put forward a counter-claim for £8 9s 9d for goods supplied. After hearing a good deal oE evidence and argument, the magistrate held that the reserve had not been proved, and so gave judgment for the company on the counter claim for £8 9* 9d, together with court costs, and for the company on the claim, With costs amounting to £2 4s. Mr J. H. Luxford represented Wille and Mr C. L. MacDiarmid the Auctioneering Co.
