SURRENDERS TO THE ALLIES. TURKS BLOW UP THE MAGAZINES DESPERATE ASSAULTS BY ALLIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Copyright Sofia, Wednesday. Adrianople has surrendered, and the city is now in the hands of the Bulgarians. The fierce assaults on the town which began last week continued all day yesterday and right through the night by the Bulgarians, assisted by a large force of Servians. The besieging forces, with a serieß of irresistible rushes after heavy bombardments, gradually closed in on the doomed town.

The cordon waa tightened yesterday, until the attackers were cloße to the forts of Takat Bair in the south and Papaz Tepe in the west. Round these a fierce fight was waged, and eventually the three, together with Devekeui, on the north-east, Yildiz, due east,and Kavkas, on the south-east, were captured. Twenty cannon, eight machine guns, and eight hundred prisoners were taken,and the Bulgars were now within 300 yards of the inner defences. CONCENTRATING THE ATTACK. Then the attack was concentrated on the eastern side, and a terrific conflict was waged, the Bulgar cavalry and the 20th Servian regiment entering the city. Ghazi Chukri Pasha, unable to continue his brave defence surrendered to General Ivanoff, who was in charge of the Bulgarian operations, at two o'clock in the afternoon, and the forces of the Allies took possession of the town.

ARSENALS BLOWN UP AND TOWN FIRED. Just before the surrender the Turks fired their food depots at Hadiriik, Kaik, Bashlik, and Kemer, and also blew up the arsenals and the northern barracks.

Latest advices from Adrianoplo show that Ghazi Chukri Pasha attempted to surrender to the officer commanding the Servian forces, and thus give them a right to claim the capture of the town. He was seized by Bulgarian soldiers, however, and conveyed by them to General Ivanoff, to whom ho then surrendered.
