@ SIR GEORGE REID INTERVIEWED. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright Received March 28, 9.15 p.m. London, Friday. Sir George Reid, Agent-General for the Commonwealth, in an interview, said he did not regard a squadron baaed at Gibraltar sufficient guard for the Empire. The Hon. James Allen's scheme he thought unsatisfactory to New Zealand and probably, Australia. Sir Joseph Ward's scheme was excellent, pending the possibility of a strong Pacific squadron. . j.
