BOWLING.
The Te Kuiti Club was represented at the Eatser tournament of the Auckland Provincial Association by two teams. Messrs Power and Dransfield competed in the championship pairs, and a first year team consisting of Messrs Wahh, Pattison, Steel and Boles todk part in the firßt-year players' championship. The pairs representatives did exceedingly well in winning the section in which they were drawn, and also won the first game in the semi-finals. In the second of the semi-finalß, however, they were defeated by the Auckland pair, Messrs Osmond and Black. The first year team started badly, being defeated in the first two games by Thames and Mt. Eden respectively. On the second day, however, they showed greatly improved form, and won both their games. They met a much-fancied team in West End, and after a good game scored a win by 21 to 20. In the second game they beat Epsom by 24 to 7. The first-year championship was won by Davenport by one point from Dominion road.
