FAT STOCK SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercan tile Agency Co., report: —At West field yards on Wednesday, fat cattle came forward in usual numbers, anc prices were well maintained. Beg' oxen sold to 28a per 1001b, others 25s to 275, cows and heifers 22s to 25s pel 1001b, steers sold at £7 10s to £l4 10s, cows and heifers £4 10s to £5 17s 6d. A draft of 25 steers, small but extra well facfced, from Mr F. Manning, Mouinoukou, averaged £l] 13s 4d. Veal calves were yarded ir good supply and sold at late rates. Extra heavy vealers £1 5s to £5 10s, heavy £3 5s to £4 7s, othera £2 to £3 3s, lighter 20a to 38s, smaller and fresh dropped 3s to 16a. Sheep were yarded in full numbers, and those of good quailty sold at last week's rates, but inferior fatted were easier. Best wethers sold at from 20s 3d to 23a 3d, others 15s 6d to 20s, ewes, heavy eight 15s 6d to 19s 6d, othera 10s 6d to 15s 3d. Lambs, in full supply, sold freely. Best quality 14s 6d to 17s 9d, others 10s 6d to 14n 3d, store 8s 6d to 10s. Pigs were in less numbers than usual, and sold at advanced rates. Large baconers sold at advanced rates. Large baconers sold at from £3 15a to £4 9a, baconers £2 15s to £3 12s 6d large porkers £2 to £2 12s, porkers 28s to 38s, no slips or weaners yarded. JOHNSONVILLE SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: —Prime bullocks £lO 5s to £9 10s, medium £8 15s to £9, light £7 17s 6d, prime heavy wethers 18s 3d to 18s 4d, mediums 16s 6d to 17s 4d, light 15s, prime eweß 15s lid, medium 14a to 14s 3d, light 12s lid to 13s 9J, prime lambs, woolly 16s, mediums 12s to 12s lOd, lighter lis to lis 6d, stores 9s 6d to 10s. ADDINGTON. The weekly sale of stock was held at Addington stock yards on Wednesday, with a large attendance of buyers. The yarding was a representative one, store sheep beina again preaent in very large numbers. Other classes were about up to the average af recent markets, a big increase being noticeable in the fat lamb pens. The yarding of . fat lambs totalled 7221, as compared with 1922 at the previous week's market. Best lamb 3 17s to 19s sd', lighter 14s 5d to 16s 9d, sgainst 17 6d to 21s 9d and 14s 2s to L7s respectively at the previous sale, rhe yarding of fat sheep was slightly jamller, there being about 3100 in the aens. The range of prices was: Wethers, prime 19s to 22s 2d, lighter 153 lid to 18s 9d, prime ewes from 16s to 20s, medium 13s 6d to 15s 6d iged and light 10s lOd to 13s. The 3ntri?s of store sheep in point of sumjers differed little from the previous seek but the quality Was rather betrer. For all classes there was keen iemand, the previous week's prices jeing fully maintained. A good ;learance was made. The yarding of "at cattle totalled 250 head, against 276 at the sale held a week eariler. Che current price for beef was 22s 6d :o 30s per 1001b according to class, steers realised £7 7s 6d to £ll, extra ;o £l4 15b, heifers £6 to £lO 7s 6d, :ows £5 15s to £9 ss.
